Super Bowl 2014 halftime show, the long-awaited first trailer for Transformers 4 – Age of Extinction was shown.
In the plot, as humanity attempts to rebuild itself four years after the conclusion of Transformers 3: Dark of the Moon, Autobots and Decepticons have disappeared from the face of the Earth. However, a powerful group of scientists and entrepreneurs, seeking to learn from past Transformer invasions, ends up pushing the boundaries of technology beyond their control. At the same time, a new Transformer threat puts Earth in its crosshairs.
Nicola Peltz (The Last Airbender) will play Mark Wahlberg's teenage daughter, while Jack Reynor will play her race car driver boyfriend. Stanley Tucci plays a scientist; Kelsey Grammer plays the villain, Harold Attinger, an industrial spy; and Sophia Myles, from Underworld, also plays a scientist.
Transformers 4 is scheduled for release on June 27th in the US and July 18th in Brazil.
