In the film's story, Johnny Depp will play a scientist, who, after suffering an attack, uploads his brain to a super computer, becoming the first machine in the world to think for itself, to have its own consciousness.
Things start to go wrong as this supercomputer with human consciousness begins to take control of everything on the planet.
The film was directed by Wally Pfister and produced by Christopher Nolan.
Transcendence opens on April 14, 2014 in the United States.
