Toei Animation has revealed the first 5 minutes of the film Dragon Ball Super: SUPER-HERO .
However, the video was only made available on the Japanese YouTube channel, which has blocked access in several countries.
Thus, the first 5 minutes feature flashback scenes about the history of the Red Ribbon Army , the evil organization behind the villains of SUPERHERO , with appearances by Goku, Piccolo, Dr. Gero, and other well-known characters.

The entire recap is done with a classic 2D visual style, transitioning to new animation.
Akira Toriyama is in charge of the script and character design. He had already begun working on the script while the previous film, Dragon Ball Super: Broly, was still in production.
Just like with the previous film, I'm heavily involved in writing the story and dialogue for another amazing movie. I really shouldn't say too much about the plot yet, but be prepared for some extreme and fun fights, which may introduce an unexpected character. Planning for the new film project began in 2018, before the release of Dragon Ball Super: Broly. The film aims to tell "a large-scale story." In addition to story composition and character design, Toriyama is also writing dialogue for the film.
Dragon Ball Super: SUPERHERO premieres on August 18th in Brazilian cinemas.
