The South Korean webtoon called I Want to Date a Girl was recently canceled for plagiarizing the manga Oshi no Ko and Kaguya-Sama: Love is War . Eventually, readers in South Korea noticed that this webtoon copied the story, dialogue, and settings from the Aka Akasaka .

According to reports, people have also accused other webtoons of plagiarism in recent weeks for copying features from Chainsaw Man and Tonari no Atashi (To Be Next). However, plagiarism of South Korean works almost always goes unnoticed as webtoons are not as well known as Japanese manga.
Written by Noh Gatryand and YLAB and illustrated by Oh Young , I Want to Date a Girl was popular on the Naver Webtoon until they canceled the work on September 10th. Soon after noticing the plagiarism of Oshi no Ko and Kaguya-sama, readers criticized the work, forcing the publisher to cancel it.
Synopsis:
The story follows a doctor named Gorou, a fan of a 16-year-old “Idol” named Ai Hoshino. But one fine day Hoshino appears at her office, however, saying that she is pregnant with twins, but her manager tells her to abort the babies. But Idol doesn't want to have an abortion, she wants to have both children. Then Gorou promises her a safe birth. Little does he know that an encounter with a mysterious figure would result in his untimely death, or so he thought. However, upon opening his eyes in the lap of his beloved idol, Gorou discovers that he has been reborn as Aquamarine Hoshino, the newborn son of Ai! With his world turned upside down, Gorou soon discovers that the world of showbiz is full of controversy, where talent doesn't always bring success.
