Wind Breaker , a manhwa written by Yongseok Jo , has officially ended its serialization after allegations of plagiarism were confirmed. The decision was announced jointly by the author and Naver Webtoon , the platform where the work had accumulated over 600 million views.

Naver confirms visual similarities with other works

After an internal review and direct discussions with the author, Naver concluded that the manuscript contained visual and structural elements too similar to other publications . Therefore, the company decided to suspend all services related to the title, including its distribution.

The author, in turn, acknowledged his mistake. In a personal statement, Yongseok Jo took full responsibility, explaining that, due to deadline pressure, he ended up exceeding the ethical boundaries of the creative process. While he didn't act with malicious intent, he admitted to using references inappropriately.

Author publishes the end of Wind Breaker on personal blog

Jo revealed that he had been eager to deliver the story's conclusion to readers. However, given the gravity of the situation, he chose to end the work early . Still, he made the original conclusion available on his personal blog—as a way of showing respect to the fans who have followed the journey thus far.

Furthermore, Naver reinforced that it takes copyright protection extremely seriously and will remain committed to the integrity of its publications.
