Wuthering Waves, a new darling of action RPG fans, is about to land on Steam. Chinese Kuro Games game officially debuts on the platform on April 28, but can now be added to the wish list for those waiting with expectation. The launch expands the presence of the title, which had already reached the PlayStation 5 in January and, before that, to mobile and PC via Epic Games devices.

With a striking visual proposal and agile combat, the game quickly drew attention on the networks. Gameplay videos began to circulate in early 2024, revealing vibrant and dynamic mechanics that mix frantic action with fluid characters exchanges during confrontation. The anime style and the mystical setting created an atmosphere that resonated strong with the public of the genre.
Kuro Games bet aims at Genshin Impact fans
Originally launched in May 2024, Wuthering Waves hit the market as a direct response to the Genshin Impact phenomenon. Both share central elements: open world, gacha system (random reward model), visual style inspired by anime and immersive narrative. In addition, the fact that they are Chinese studio creations has reinforced comparisons from the beginning.
Kuro Games title, however, seeks to stand out with a more intense footprint in the fighting. Players take on the role of Rover, a protagonist who wakes up without memory in a devastated world. Thus, the mission is clear: to gather allies known as resonators and restore peace on the continent of Erivale, devastated by a war between mystical forces called screaming souls.
Intense gameplay and post-apocalyptic ambience
Part of the Wuthering Waves appeal is in its vertical gameplay and the possibilities of combo amid combat. Changing characters in the air and mending attacks without losing fluidity creates electrifying battles. This dynamic mainly pleased those looking for the most strategic depth in games of the genre, as well as a system of evolution accessible to newbies, but challenging for veterans.
The plot bets on a dramatic atmosphere, set in a post-apocalyptic scenario that mixes technology, fantasy and imposing ruins. Rover's journey is loaded with mystery, with discoveries that reveal both the protagonist's past and the world's secrets around. Thus, it is a universe under construction, with the potential to expand through updates and seasonal events.
Steam becomes a new stage for Eastern Gachas
The release of Wuthering Waves at Steam marks a new moment for Gacha games on the PC. The Valve platform began to attract more and more oriental productions that were once limited to mobile. In addition to Kuro Games RPG, Infinity Nikki, a game of dress with strong visual appeal, also arrives at Steam - just a day later, on April 29.
With over 30 million pre-registrations before the official debut, Wuthering Waves shows that it has the strength to rival the industry giants. Thus, the bet on engaging story, charismatic characters and innovative combat indicates that Kuro Games is not just surfing on the wave of the success of others - it is creating its own.
