Yaiba, the Little Samurai from 1993 will soon be getting a new anime, according to Weekly Shonen Sunday magazine. The new series is being supervised by Gosho Aoyama, the manga's creator.

In addition to the promotional image released, fans did not have access to studio and cast information.

Yaiba Synopsis:

Yaiba Kurogane is a young man determined to achieve the title of greatest samurai. From a young age, he was immersed in rigorous training on a distant island under the tutelage of his father, Kenjuro Kurogane. His loyal pets, Kagetora, the majestic tiger, and Shonosuke, the cunning vulture, are his inseparable companions on this journey. Upon returning to his homeland in search of self-improvement, Yaiba crosses paths with his father's rival and his daughter, Sayaka Mine. As he unravels the mysteries and challenges that await him, the young samurai encounters Takeshi Onimaru, captain of the local kendō team. A challenge is issued, and with skill and courage, Yaiba proves himself worthy of the title he covets, emerging victorious in the confrontation.

Finally, the Yaiba manga arrived at Shogakukan in the Weekly Shōnen Sunday magazine in 24 volumes, which was later reprinted in the "Wide Ban" editions. In 1993, it received the Shogakukan Manga Award.
