The release date for the second part of the Yashahime anime has finally been confirmed by the staff; it has been set for October 2nd .
Furthermore, the anime's official Twitter account revealed that the band NEWS will return to perform the opening theme song for the new part of the series. The group previously performed the anime's second opening theme, titled "BURN".
Synopsis
The daughters of Sesshoumaru and Inuyasha set out on a journey that transcends time! In feudal Japan, half-demon twins Towa and Setsuna are separated from each other during a forest fire. While desperately searching for her younger sister, Towa wanders into a mysterious tunnel that sends her to present-day Japan, where she is found and raised by Kagome Higurashi's brother, Sota, and his family. Ten years later, the tunnel connecting the two eras has reopened, allowing Towa to reunite with Setsuna, who is now a Demon Slayer working for Kohaku. But to Towa's shock, Setsuna appears to have lost all memories of her older sister. Joined by Moroha, Inuyasha and Kagome's daughter, the three young women travel between the two eras on an adventure to recover their lost past.
The Yashahime anime premiered in Japan in October 2020.
