Synopsis:
Mitsuha is the daughter of the mayor of a small town, but dreams of trying her luck in Tokyo. Taki works at a restaurant in Tokyo and wants to quit his job. The two don't know each other, but are connected by the images in their dreams.
The manga adaptation of Your Name was adapted into a film directed by Shinkai, animated by CoMix Wave Films , and distributed by Toho . The character designs were done by Masayoshi Tanaka . It premiered in theaters on August 26, 2016, grossing an impressive $281 million.
