Due to scheduling conflicts, director Lee Isaac Chung will not be directing the live-action of Your Name ( Kimi No Na Wa ). According to Deadline , Paramount Pictures is now searching for a replacement director.
The website previously stated that Chung was brought on board for the film's production in September 2020; according to them, the director would also rewrite the live-action script, based on a draft by Emily V. Gordon (The Big Sick).
