The new edition of the monthly magazine of “Akita Shoten”, Shōnen Champion, revealed the official title of the 3rd season of the Yowamushi Pedal anime based on the manga written by Wataru Watanabe .
The magazine highlights the title of Yowamushi Pedal: New Generation in the free translation from Portuguese (Yowamushi Pedal: Nova Geração), scheduled to arrive on Japanese screens in mid-January 2017, for now there is still no official confirmation date.
Also in the publication, a promotional image for the anime that you can see below was released with the text in English “ The never-before-seen road, together ”.
The original story takes place with the character “Sakamichi Onoda”, a true Otaku stereotype who is crazy about anime figures and games, his routine is to cycle to Akihabara (District of Japan) covering a distance of 90 kilometers, in turn joining a local cycling team after meeting two colleagues in the room who are famous cyclists. Going through hard training to compete and get better, he ends up discovering his own talent in the sport.
The author launched the manga in Akita Shoten's Shonen Champion magazine in 2008, where the story has already inspired theater plays in Japan and two television adaptations of the anime to date. The first season of the anime arrived in 2013. The second season premiered in Japan in 2014. After the season, two compiled films premiered in Japan in 2014. This year a new film arrived titled Yowamushi Pedal: Spare Bike.
The story of this third season was set after the events that occurred in the first two seasons along with the last film released in 2015, where all the previous students of the third season left high school and ended up graduating.
