Yowamushi Pedal, the adaptation by author Wataru Watanabe, is getting a second season. The announcement was made by the staff at the Le Tour event. The final episode of the first season aired on June 30th. The second season is scheduled to arrive in October.
Sakamichi Onoda is a young otaku who loves video game and anime figures so much that he'll ride his bike 90 kilometers around the Akihabara district to see what's new in all the stores of this kind in the area. One day, Onoda catches the eye of Shokichi Naruko for his cycling skills, which leads Shokichi to try to convince him to join his cycling team.
The animation is done by the studio TMS Entertainment , the director in charge is Osamu Nabeshima (D.Gray-man, Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, Zetman).
