Yowamushi Pedal, an adaptation by author Wataru Watanabe, will have a second season. The announcement was made by the staff at the Le Tour event. The last episode of the first season aired on June 30th. The second season is scheduled to arrive in October.
Sakamichi Onoda is a young otaku who loves video game and anime figures so much that he's capable of cycling 90 kilometers around the Akihabara district to see what's new in all the stores of this kind located in the area. One day, Onoda catches the attention of Shokichi Naruko with his cycling skills, leading Shokichi to try and convince him to join his cycling team.
The animation is being handled by TMS Entertainment , and the director is Osamu Nabeshima (D.Gray-man, Saint Seiya: The Lost Canvas, Zetman).
