Yu-Gi-Oh!: The Dark Side of Dimensions , a new film based on the popular card game, has released its first trailer. The trailer confirms that the film will be released in Japan in 2016.
The manga creator, Kazuki Takahashi, wrote the entire script and designed the characters for the film, and is also serving as the chief production supervisor. Satoshi Kuwahara (Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal, Yu-Gi-Oh! Zexal II) is directing.
Yu-Gi-Oh! (King of Games) is a manga series about gaming written and illustrated by Kazuki Takahashi. The series was originally published by Shueisha in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine between 1996 and 2004. The plot follows the story of a boy named Yugi Muto, who reassembles the ancient Millennium Puzzle and awakens a spirit within his body with the personality of a gamer who resolves his conflicts using various games.
