In 2016, the Yu-Gi-Oh franchise celebrates its 20th anniversary, and to commemorate this, a film will be released, supposedly titled Yu-Gi-Oh King.
Images of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon and the Dark Magician were released in Shueisha's Shonen Jump. They reveal the characters' designs for the film, which will be released next year.
The first image is of the Blue-Eyes White Dragon, which is very similar to the Dragon we already know, but the second, of the Dark Magician, reveals details of the new design.
The reason for this change in appearance will be explained in the film.
Yu-Gi-Oh! is a manga series about gaming written and illustrated by Kazuki Takahashi. The series was originally published by Shueisha in Weekly Shōnen Jump magazine between 1996 and 2004. The plot follows the story of a boy named Yugi Muto, who reassembles the ancient Millennium Puzzle and awakens a spirit within his body with the personality of a gamer who resolves his conflicts using various games.
