I'm a technology enthusiast and a lover of anime, manga, and games. The vast majority of anime I enjoy belong to the Shounen demographic.

Netflix released this Wednesday (06) a new official trailer for the live-action series based on the manga Yū Yū Hakusho, by Yoshihiro Togashi.

Furthermore, it's worth remembering that the series is scheduled to premiere on December 14th of this year.

The film is directed by Sho Tsukikawa (live-action Let Me Eat Your Pancreas) based on a screenplay by Tatsurō Mishima , with visual effects by Ryō Sakaguchi (The Lord of the Rings, X-Men).

Synopsis

Yusuke Urameshi, a 14-year-old delinquent, dies after saving a child in a car accident. The Spirit World is surprised by his death and offers him the chance to return as a "spirit detective" tasked with defeating demons.

TOHO Studios and Netflix then signed a multi-year contract to rent two of TOHO's stage facilities in Tokyo starting in April 2021. Therefore, Netflix's first production there is precisely the live-action series of Yu Yu Hakusho.

Finally, Togashi (Hunter X Hunter) published the original Yu Yu Hakusho manga from 1990 to 1994.
