Yubisaki to Renren – Anime adaptation announced

A website opened this Wednesday (05) to announce the anime adaptation of the manga Yubisaki to Renren (A Sign of Affection) by Suu Morishita.

In addition, promotional art and video, the main cast and production team were made public, in addition to the premiere scheduled for January 2024.

The anime's main cast includes:

  • Sumire Morohoshi as Yuki Itose
  • Yū Miyazaki as Itsuomi Nagi

Production team

  • Anime Director: Yūta Murano (Kakushigoto, Brave Beats)Studio: Ajia-do
  • Supervision and Scripts: Yoko Yonaiyama (Uma Yuru, Ya Boy Kongming!)
  • Character Design: Kasumi Sakai (Animation Director of Love Live! Sunshine!!)
  • Musical Composition: Yukari Hashimoto (March comes in like a lion, Komi Can't Communicate, Am I Actually the Strongest?)

Synopsis

Yuki is a typical college student whose world revolves around her friends, social media and the latest promotions. But when a chance encounter on the train leads her to meet Itsuomi-san, a friend of a friend and fellow student, her world begins to expand. However, even though Itsuomi-kun speaks three languages, sign language is not one of them. Will the two be able to learn to communicate and express the feelings developing between them?

Morishita launched the manga in Kodansha's Dessert magazine in July 2019. Additionally, the work was nominated for Best Shōjo Manga at the Annual Kodansha Manga Awards in 2021, 2022 and 2023.
