A live broadcast celebrating the fifth anniversary Yuki Yuna Is a Hero franchise announced a new anime series.

Seiji Kishi is returning from directing the first Yuki Yuna Is a Hero anime at Studio Gokumi. Also returning are series script supervisor and screenwriter Makoto Uezu, original character designer BUNBUN, animation character designer and chief animation director Takahiro Sakai. Keiichi Okabe and monaca are responsible for the music. DK & JWWORKS are credited for the concept art.
The original television anime Yuki Yuna Is a Hero premiered in October 2014. The story takes place in the age of the gods, year 300. Yuuna Yuuki lives an ordinary life as a second-year high school student, but she is also a member of the “Hero Club,” where the club's activities involve dealing with a mysterious being called “Vertex.”.
The second season of the anime premiered in October 2017 and aired in two parts.
The first part is therefore a recreation of six episodes from the three films of Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shō.
Part two is a direct continuation of the first season.
