A live broadcast for the fifth anniversary Yuki Yuna Is a Hero franchise announced a new anime in the series.
The new anime is titled Yuuki Yuuna wa Yuusha de Aru Dai-Mankai no Shou .

Seiji Kishi is returning from Yuki's first anime Yuna Is a Hero to direct at Studio Gokumi. Additionally, series script supervisor and screenwriter Makoto Uezu, original character designer BUNBUN, animation character designer and lead animation director Takahiro Sakai are also returning. Keiichi Okabe and Monaca in music. DK & JWWORKS are credited for concept art.
The original television anime Yuki Yuna Is a Hero premiered in October 2014. The story is set in the Age of the Gods, Year 300. Yuuna Yuuki lives an ordinary life as a second-year high school student, but she is also a member of the “Hero Club”, where the club's activities involve dealing with a mysterious being called “Vertex”.
The anime's second season premiered in October 2017 and aired in two parts.
The first part is therefore a recreation of six episodes from the three Yūki Yūna wa Yūsha de Aru: Washio Sumi no Shō films.
The second part is a direct continuation of the first season.
