Synopsis of Yūsha-kei ni Shosu
Being a "Hero" is the worst punishment in this world. Those who commit great crimes are sentenced to become "Heroes" and are forced to fight against the Demon King. Even in death, they are resurrected—not even death is allowed to them.
The former commander of the Order of the Holy Knights, Zylo Forbarts , was sentenced to this punishment and now leads a troop composed of individuals with distorted personalities: the Punished Heroes Unit. On the front lines of the battlefield, Zylo encounters one of the most powerful biological weapons ever created: the "Sword Goddess" Theolitta .

The Sentenced to Be a Hero novel series began serialization in Kakuyomu in October 2020, while the light novel series under ASCII Media Works' Dengeki no Shin Bungei imprint started publication in September 2021.
Finally, a manga debuted in the web magazine Dengeki Comic Regulus in March 2022.
