About the character: Zero Two is a human-klaxo sapien hybrid and member of the APE Special Forces, who fights on the front lines. As an elite Parasite codenamed “002”, known as “Partner Killer”, Zero Two accepts being alone due to her horns and Klaxosaur blood. But after meeting Hiro, she manages to fly more than three times, known as the youngest of the 13th Platoon, piloting the powerful FRANXX Strelizia.
Synopsis:
The story of the anime Darling in the Franxx takes place in a post-apocalyptic future where the remnants of human civilization have abandoned the surface of the planet. Adults and children exist in contrasting environments. Adults live in technological cities (latifundia) called “plantations”. Children are called “parasites”, being devoid of individuality, and educated only to pilot Franxxs in pairs (a boy and a girl) to defend humanity.
Finally, the 24-episode anime was directed by Atsushi Nishigori with Nishigori and Naotaka Hayashi, Masayoshi Tanaka designing the characters, Shigeto Koyama as mechanical designer, Hiroyuki Imaishi as animation director. Additionally, a manga adaptation by Kentaro Yabuki began on the Shonen Jump Plus website on January 14, 2018.
