The second season of Alya Sometimes Hides Her Feelings in Russian received a new teaser and visual during AnimeJapan 2026. The work is a romance light novel written by Sunsunsun and illustrated by Momoco , published by Kadokawa .

The production team confirmed that the premiere has been postponed to 2027. According to the team, the decision aims to improve the quality of the animation. The first season aired in July 2024 with 12 episodes and international distribution by Crunchyroll .
Hiroshi Haraguchi takes over as director at Doga Kobo , replacing Ryota Itoh . Additionally, Yuka Yamada will supervise the series' scripts. Character design remains with Yuhei Murota, maintaining the previously established visual identity.

The new season will adapt the story from the fourth volume of the light novel. The story follows Alisa Kujou, a student who blends coldness and charm, while hiding her feelings by speaking in Russian with her classmate Masachika Kuze.
School romance continues with new conflicts
The narrative portrays Alya as an exemplary and aloof student. However, she reveals intimate thoughts in Russian, believing that no one understands them. Nevertheless, Kuze understands everything and keeps the secret, creating curious situations and developing the relationship between the two characters.
