El sitio web oficial franquicia Ghost in the Shell se actualizó y tiene un nuevo avance de la película que llegará este año. El video muestra varias escenas de las películas anteriores y luego la nueva animación.
Kazuchika Kise (director principal de Ghost in the Shell Arise) será el director principal de Project IG y también diseñará los personajes. Tow Ubukata (Ghost in the Shell Arise) se encargará del guión
El estreno en Japón tendrá lugar el 20 de abril en Japón.
