Según el sitio web oficial de Spochan Taiketsu, se lanzó el tráiler de la nueva película, titulada Spochan Taiketsu! ~Yōkai Daikessen~ (Spochan Showdown: Great Yōkai Battle), esta nueva animación tiene previsto su estreno en las pantallas japonesas el 30 de agosto.
Hiroshi Kubo (Ayakashi, Valkyrie) dirige el anime, mientras que Akio Nishizawa es el productor ejecutivo. Yui Horie también interpreta el tema de cierre de la película, "Smile Again". El anime se estrenará en el Aeon Cinema Kohoku New Town de Yokohama y otros cines el 30 de agosto. El sitio web oficial del anime también anuncia que la transmisión televisiva estará disponible próximamente.
