A new original anime titled “ Goodbye, Lara ” was announced this weekend, produced by studio Kinema Citrus . In addition to the announcement, the cast, trailer, and image were revealed.

Synopsis Goodbye Lara:
The plot of Goodbye Lara follows a mermaid who makes a forbidden wish: to be loved by a human. After her death, she is reborn 200 years later in modern Japan, on the serene Lake Biwa. There, she learns to adapt to the human world, full of challenges and discoveries. Lake Biwa, located in Shiga Prefecture, is not only a stunning setting but also the birthplace of director Takushi Koide, adding a personal and authentic layer to the narrative.
Finally, the Kinema Citrus is known for producing well-known anime such as Made in Abyss and Revue Starlight.
