Bandai Namco dio una entrevista en el TGS 2015 (Tokyo Game Show) anunciando que está desarrollando su cuarto juego de la Sword Art Online .
Tras Sword Art Online: Infinity Moment, Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment y el actual Sword Art Online: Lost Song, este nuevo juego reemplazará a los ya lanzados. Bandai Namco añadió que se revelarán más detalles sobre este juego en el Festival de Otoño de Dengeki Bunko 2015, que tendrá lugar el 4 de octubre.
