Toaru Kagaku no Railgun ( A Certain Item of Dark Side ), the new anime in the franchise, has received its first trailer in Japan. However, its release is scheduled for the fall season of 2026.

Toaru Anbu Synopsis in Item
The story follows a group of girls living in the shadows of Academy City. While the city is known for its scientific advancements and the development of psychic abilities, a secret organization operates within the shadows, carrying out illegal activities far from the public eye. Each member has specific roles in combat and investigation. However, the arrival of a fifth girl disrupts the group's balance. This encounter leads the characters into an even more dangerous new world within the city's underworld.
The main cast includes Ami Koshimizu as Mugino, Aya Suzaki as Takitsubo, Maaya Uchida as Frenda, and Chinatsu Akasaki as Kinuhata. A new name will be revealed for the character Hanano Choubi.
