Fairy Tail Dragon Cry trailer
Finally, we have the first trailer for the new Fairy Tail movie , titled Fairy Tail : Dragon Cry. The animation is scheduled to premiere on May 6, 2017. The film's tagline is: " This power... is it hope or destruction...? "
The animation is entirely by A-1 Pictures (Sword Art Online), directed by Tatsuma Minamikawa (Episodes of Aldnoah.Zero, Attack on Titan), with a script by Shoji Yonemura and character designs by Yuuko Yamada (Persona 3 the Movie #3 Falling Down).
Hiro Mashima's Fairy Tail manga is inspired by two anime series, several OVAs, and a spinoff. The first Fairy Tail movie is titled Fairy Tail the Movie: Phoenix Priestess and premiered in theaters in August 2012. Last year it was revealed that a new project was in production, but so far there's no news of a new season.
