Rurouni Kenshin ( Samurai X franchise has had a new trailer and promotional image revealed. According to reports, the new series will premiere in 2023 on Fuji TV, specifically in the Noitamina block.

Watsuki and his wife, Kaoru Kurosaki , launched the manga Rurouni Kenshin: Hokkaido Arc in Shueisha's Jump SQ in September 2017. The manga went on hiatus in December 2017 after Watsuki was accused of possessing child pornography. Publication subsequently resumed in June 2018.
