My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

The first season of the anime Solo Leveling recently joined Crunchyroll , reaching over 200,000 reviews with a 4.9 rating , alongside six other well-known anime series.

Therefore, this feat was maintained at an impressive 4.9 rating. This achievement happened in just 12 episodes, placing it in the same league as Chainsaw Man, another series with a similarly concise run.

A few other anime that have managed to achieve this feat on Crunchyroll are the following titles:

  • Spy vs. Family
  • One Piece
  • Attack on Titan
  • Jujutsu Kaisen
  • Demon Slayer
  • Chainsaw Man

The final episode of Solo Leveling reached the general public a few days ago, covering about 45 chapters of the Manhwa . Now, the creators of the series have given the green light for a second season with the release of a teaser.

Synopsis of Solo Leveling:

The original story of the South Korean web novel takes place ten years ago, after the "Portal" connecting the real world to a world of monsters was opened. However, some ordinary people received the power to hunt the monsters from the portal. They are known as hunters. However, not all hunters are strong. My name is Sung Jin-Woo, an E-rank hunter. I am someone who has to risk my life in the weakest dungeons, "The weakest in the world." But without any skills at my disposal, I barely make any money in low-level dungeons… At least until I find a hidden dungeon with the highest difficulty within Rank D! In the end, while accepting my death, I gained a new power.

The animation for the anime Solo Leveling is by A-1 Pictures , a well-known studio responsible for anime such as Sword Art Online, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso, Boku dake ga Inai Machi Mashle, The Seven Deadly Sins, among many others.
