Funimation arrives in Brazil in December

Funimation 's streaming service will arrive in Brazil and Mexico in December, offering over 1,500 hours of over 200 anime and films.

The service will offer anime subtitled in Portuguese and Spanish. Some select titles will be dubbed, such as the final season of Attack on Titan . However, the service will initially be available only via the web, but will later be available on "various apps and connected TV platforms in 2021."

Some titles that will be available:

Boku no Hero Academia , Noragami , Overlord , Fruits Basket , The Promised Neverland and Sword Art Online .

Additionally, the service is available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and Ireland. The platform's content is also available in Australia and New Zealand through Animelab.

Finally, Sony Pictures Television and Aniplex announced in September 2019 that they were consolidating three Sony anime companies: Funimation, Wakanim, and Madman Anime Group. Furthermore, the combined company, operating under the Funimation name, acquires and distributes anime from all three companies. Variety reported in September that the merger would cover 10 languages in 49 countries.
