The official website for the Fruits Basket announced today that the anime will receive a film titled " Fruits Basket -prelude- ".
The film will premiere in Japan on February 18, 2022 .
The adaptation will be based on the story of Tohru , Kyouko and Katsuya , which the 2019-2021 anime did not adapt. The film will also include new scenes, written specifically for the film, depicting events that take place after the anime's storyline.
The staff and voice actors from the 2019-2021 anime will return for the film. The Blu-ray release will be available on the same day as the theatrical premiere.
