Sony Pictures released two clips from RoboCop . Sony Pictures Brazil announced that actors Michael Keaton and Joel Kinnaman (who plays Alex Murphy , RoboCop ) will join director José Padilha in Rio de Janeiro to promote the film.
The trio will have a schedule of press interviews and launch activities. In the story, the year is 2029, and the multinational conglomerate OmniCorp is at the center of robotics technology.
Drones are winning wars around the globe, and now they want to bring that technology to the streets.
The action is scheduled to premiere on February 21st in Brazil .
