Gintama manga gets a new anime!

My name is Rafael Alves, known as Shinzo. I created the AnimeNew website in 2009 to offer news about anime, manga, and games directly from Japan.

Shonen Jump magazine, number 43 , announced that Gintama, the manga by author Hideaki Sorachi, will soon be getting a new anime adaptation airing on the classic Japanese channel TV Tokyo. The magazine also teased what we call the climax of the final arc of Gintama's story. Future issues of Shonen Jump will announce the broadcast schedule and other details such as the release date, and perhaps an official trailer will be released alongside the article.

The previous issue of Jump hinted that a " surprising piece of news " for the franchise would arrive in the next issue—that is, the news you just read.

Author Hideaki Sorachi began publishing in 2004 and it continues to be ranked among the best-selling manga in Japan to this day. Currently licensed by Viz Media, which published the first 23 volumes in English. Shueisha published the 65th volume of the manga in Japan in August, where its final arc began in July.

The manga series as a whole inspired an anime that premiered in 2006 and continued (with several extended hiatuses) until 2013. The most recent Gintama anime premiered in April 2015, and its ending aired on TV in March.

Gintama is currently streaming on Crunchyroll !

The paid streaming channel Crunchyroll currently broadcasts the series, as it aired in Japan. In addition to the TV series, the manga also inspired two animated films, including Gekijōban Gintama Kanketsu-hen: Yorozuya yo Eien Nare , which premiered in 2013, and several OVAs released at anime events. Light novels and games have also been created.

Remember that in the middle of this year, issue 31 of Jump announced that Gintama will have a live-action film in 2017 made by Warner Bros. Pictures Japan, starring Shun Oguri as Gintoki Sakata, written and directed by Yuichi Fukuda.
