According to the official Shokugeki no Souma website , the episodes of anime 's 5th season will be postponed due to COVID-19 .
The postponement will encompass episode 3 onwards , and may delay new episodes until July or even later .
However, the Tokyo MX and BS11 will be airing reruns of episodes from the 4th season .
Synopsis: The anime revolves around Yukihira Soma, a high school student determined to surpass his father in culinary skills. One day, his father decides to close their family restaurant and hone his culinary abilities in Europe. Before leaving, however, he enrolls Soma in an elite culinary institute that is extremely difficult to get into and has a graduation rate of only 10%. Will Soma be able to improve his culinary skills? Or will the kitchen prove too hot for him?
It's worth remembering that Shokugeki No Souma had already suffered a delay in mid-April .
The 5th season was named Shokugeki no Souma: Go no Sara , with the word "Go" referencing the number 5 in Japanese.
The 4th season is called “Shin no Sara” , and it aired on October 11, 2019 , and like the 5th season , it was also streamed on Crunchyroll .
