The official website for the anime adapted from the light novel Okiraku Ryoushu no Tanoshii Ryouchi Bouei ( Easygoing Territory Defense by the Optimistic Lord ) has released its first trailer.

Synopsis Okiraku Ryoushu
The story is based on the novel written by Mitsuru Inoue with illustrations by Kururi, and follows a man who is reborn in another world as a young boy, now part of a noble family specializing in magic. However, he is granted an ability considered useless—a "production" power that seems to have no value in battle. The result? He is mercilessly banished.
But instead of giving in to fate, the protagonist finds an abandoned village and decides to start over. With his underestimated skills, he begins a process of reconstruction, determined to transform this forgotten place into a thriving city. Blending elements of city-building, magic, and slice-of-life, the title promises to be a lighthearted story, but full of charming twists.
This is another addition to the growing catalog of reincarnation-themed anime, but the focus on land management and community development could bring a breath of fresh air to the genre.
However, the light novel began serialization in May 2020. It was later acquired by Overlap, who began publishing it under their Overlap Novels imprint in September 2021. A manga adaptation illustrated by Maro Aoiro began serialization on Comic Gardo in August 2021.
