The official Twitter account for the 'Edens Zero' anime revealed new cast members and the “Aoi Cosmos” arc trailer for the next quarter of the second season.

Additionally, the video also features a preview of the new opening theme song “Kaibutsu” sung by Tani Yuuki.

The anime's additional cast includes:

  • Takaya Hashi as Nero
  • Kenichi Suzumura as Shura
  • Kazuhiko Inoue as Xenolith

The first season of the anime premiered in Japan during the spring 2021 season (April-June) and had a total of 25 episodes.

Shinji Ishihara (Fairy Tail, Log Horizon) was the lead director for the first season at JC Staff, and Yūshi Suzuki (episode director for Fairy Tail season three) directed the season. Suzuki passed away on September 9, 2021. Mitsutaka Hirota (Zoids Wild, Rent-A-Girlfriend) supervised and wrote the scripts for the series, and Yurika Sako (key animation for Food Wars! The Third Plate) designed the characters for animation.

Author Hiro Mashima has been publishing the manga in Kodansha 's Weekly Shonen Magazine since June 2018.

Synopsis

In the story, an orphan named Shiki Granbell raised by automaton robots on the planet Granbell, this being a type of theme park. One day the park then sees B-cube Rebecca and her friend, Happy, when they see each other Shiki tries to make friends with them while they record videos.
