JBC Publishing has announced its newest title for 2014: BTOOOM!, a seinen manga by Inoue Junya, published since 2009 in Comic Bunch magazine. The series currently has 12 volumes and is ongoing. It gained greater prominence in 2013 with its 13-episode anime adaptation, which covered approximately 9 volumes of the manga. The title began receiving requests from fans worldwide, leading to publication in the United States, Italy, France, Spain, and other countries.
BTOOOM is expected to be released in the first half of the year and is JBC's first title for the year.
The story revolves around the character Sakamoto Ryuuta , a typical boy who does nothing with his life. One day something strange happens to him while he's sleeping, and he simply wakes up in the middle of an island (LOST!) and doesn't remember anything that happened, nor does he know anyone who can help him.
