The new film Suzume no Tojimari ( Suzume's Door-Locking ) by director Makoto Shinkai ( Your Name, Tenki no Ko ) has been confirmed for release in Brazil . According to reports, the streaming service Crunchyroll will be responsible for its worldwide release in 2023, following its premiere in Japan on November 11, 2022.
In Brazil, the film will be distributed by Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment , while in countries where French and German are the predominant languages, it will be distributed by Crunchyroll , Sony Pictures , and Wild Bunch International .
Synopsis
The story centers on Suzume, a 17-year-old girl from a quiet town in Kyushu who meets a young man searching for a door. They find a door within ruins in the mountains, and Suzume opens it. Soon, more doors begin to open around Japan, bringing disaster from the other side. The film portrays Suzume's liberation and growth as she closes the doors that are causing the disaster.
Finally, the team planned the project from January to March 2020, developed the script from April to August of that same year, and wrote the scripts from September 2020 to December 2021. The actual production of the animation only began now in April 2022.
