The Dengeki Bunko 30th anniversary celebration event revealed this Sunday (16) that Satoshi Wagahara will launch a new light novel titled “Hataraku Maou-sama! ES!!” to celebrate the new anime season of the work, which is called “The Devil Is a Part-Timer!!” (with two exclamation points).
The Devil Is a Part-Timer!! – Light novel will have a new volume
Therefore, the novel will be released in Japan starting September 8th, with illustrations by 029. In the story of the new volume, Maō (the Demon King Satan) surprisingly wins the lottery. The plot will also depict Emi and her friends shortly before their arrival in Japan.

Synopsis
After being defeated by the heroine Emilia, the Demon King and his general hastily flee to a parallel universe… only to find themselves amidst the hustle and bustle of modern, vibrant Tokyo! Without the magic needed to return home, the two are forced to assume human identities and live ordinary lives until they find a better solution. And to survive, Satan finds a job at a nearby diner! With his demonic mind focused on climbing the management ladder, what will become of his thirst for conquest?!
“The Devil Is a Part-Timer!!” premiered in July 2022. The anime also premiered exclusively in Japan on Disney+ on the same day and time as its TV debut. Crunchyroll also streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
The first season of the anime premiered in 2013.
