According to the official website of Spochan Taiketsu, the trailer for the new film was released, titled Spochan Taiketsu! ~Yōkai Daikessen~ (Spochan Showdown: Great Yōkai Battle), this new animation is scheduled to premiere on Japanese screens on August 30th.
Hiroshi Kubo (Ayakashi, Valkyrie) is directing the anime, while Akio Nishizawa serves as executive producer. Yui Horie also performs the film's ending theme song, "Smile Again." The anime will open at Yokohama's Aeon Cinema Kohoku New Town and other theaters on August 30. The anime's official website also lists information about the television broadcast as "coming soon."
