Last May, Asuka Ciel revealed that an anime adaptation of the manga Love Stage!! by author Eiki Eiki and Taishi Zaou was in production. Today, January 29th, the official website announced that the animation studio will be JC Staff .
The anime is scheduled to premiere this year, and is directed by Kenichi Kasai (Major, Bakuman, Nodame Cantabile).
The story revolves around Sena , a boy who could be considered the black sheep of the family. His father is a famous singer. His mother is a movie star. His brother is the lead singer of a band called The Crusherz. In short: he's down on his luck. His biggest dream is to become a famous manga artist, since he's fascinated by the manga "Magical Girl LalaLulu". But his life may take an unexpected turn when he is accidentally cast in a TV commercial and meets Ichijou Ryouma, a young actor who will completely change Sena's life.
