Netflix releases trailer for season 2 of Baki

Netflix released the first trailer for the second season of Baki: Dai Raitaisai-hen this Thursday (May 21st), highlighting the Raitai Tournament arc , no Ko Gekitotsu" and "Revenge Tokyo" arcs from the manga.

In addition to covering the Raitai Tournament arc, the anime will include side stories from "Revenge Tokyo" focusing on death row inmates from the first season of the anime. The new season will see the return of voice actors Chafurin, Takehito Koyasu, Banjou Ginga, Kenjiro Tsuda, and Issei Futamata as death row inmates Speck, Hector Doyle, Dorian, Sikorsky, and Ryuko Yanagi, respectively.

Furthermore, season 2 of Baki will premiere worldwide on Netflix on June 4th.

Baki premiered on Netflix in Japan in June 2018, with 26 episodes ending in December of the same year. However, Netflix released 13 episodes outside of Japan in December 2018, followed by the second part in March 2019.

The band GRANRODEO will perform the opening theme ( OP ) “Jonetsu wa Oboteiru” ( Remember Your Passion ), and Ena Fujita will perform the ending theme ( ED ) “DEAD STROKE” ( Dead Stroke ).

The manga Grappler Baki, by author and illustrator Keisuke Itagaki, has been serialized in Weekly Shonen Champion , but was compiled into 42 volumes in 1999. The manga continues to be published and currently has 137 volumes.
