Through social media, the light novel “Playing Death Games to Put Food on the Table” (Shibou Yuugi de Meshi wo Kuu.) had its anime adaptation announced.

Synopsis Playing Death Games to Put Food:

Let's play with our lives on the line. The deadly game with beautiful girls on the front lines is about to begin! Player name: Yuuki. Seventeen years old. Residence: Assassination games. Dressed in a maid outfit, she tries to find a way out of a deadly mansion, eliminating other players dressed as a rabbit to earn money and survive. But for some reason, she chose to stay "here" no matter the cost. While overcoming the barrier between life and death, her goal is to achieve an unprecedented 「99 Consecutive Wins」. Beautiful Girls × Cosplay × Deadly Game—that's the unshakable survival strategy!

"Playing Death Games" (Shibou Yuugi de Meshi wo Kuu.) is a light novel series written by Yushi Ukai and illustrated by Nekometaru. Published under Media Factory's MF Bunko J light novel imprint in November 2022.

Finally, a manga adaptation illustrated by Banzai Kotobuki Daienkai began serialization in Kadokawa Shoten's seinen manga magazine Comp Ace in April 2023.
