The Twitter account of Tatsunoko Production announced that the new anime, Yozakura Quartet ~ Hana no Uta, will be released in October; the tweet was deleted a few hours later. This anime will not be a continuation of the first version, but rather a remake that will incorporate new elements into the story. The anime will feature the same cast as the first anime and the OVA of Yozakura Quartet ~ Tsuki ni Naku. The production team will not be the same as the 2008 anime, but it will be the same as the OVA Yozakura Quartet ~ Tsuki ni Naru. Ryo-timo will be responsible for directing and character design, his assistant director will be Kyotaka Suzuki (Evangelion: 3.0 You Can (Not) Redo), while the anime's script will be the responsibility of Manabu Ishikawa .

The OVA Yozakura Quartet ~ Tsuki ni Naru will be released along with volumes 14, 15, and 16 of Suzuhito Yasuda's manga around September 9th.
