Shoushimin: Anime adaptation announced

TV Asahi announced this Friday (12) that the mystery series Shoshimin, by Honobu Yonezawa, is inspiring an anime adaptation that will be shown on the NUMAnimation starting in July this year.

The anime is called Shoshimin Series, and the promotional art below features the English title "How to Become Ordinary".

The anime will star Shūichirō Umeda as Jōgorō Kobato and Hina Yomiya as Yuki Osanai.

Synopsis

The story focuses on Jōgorō Kobato, who wishes to live a peaceful and ordinary life after a painful experience. He and Yuki Osanai form a "mutually beneficial relationship," as Yuki also wants the same thing. They begin high school as classmates with a plan to spend their days peacefully as ordinary people, but unfortunately, they keep getting involved in one mystery and disaster after another.

Specifically, the anime will adapt the novels Shunki Gentei Ichigo Tart Jiken (The Case of the Limited Edition Spring Strawberry Tart) and Kaki Gentei Tropical Parfait Jiken (The Case of the Limited Edition Summer Tropical Parfait Dessert).
