According to the panel at the Dengeki Game Festival 2014, it was confirmed that Sword Art Online II (Sword Art Online: Phantom Bullet) will arrive in July. New concept art for the project was also revealed during the event.
The new season, inspired by Reki Kawahara's original novel, will take place with the return of the MMO Gun Gale Online, which focuses on firearms but also features knives and lightsabers. The official website has given this new series the subtitle "Phantom Bullet".
