The publisher Bandai Namco Filmworks has confirmed that the manga Tank Chair will be adapted into an anime, with a premiere scheduled for the fall. The work by Manabu Yashiro has received a promotional video, as well as a new visual illustrated by the author himself.
The production brings together experienced names from the industry. Tadahiro Yoshihira, of Knights of Sidonia, and Hiroaki Ando, of Ajin, direct and write the script at Polygon Pictures studio. Character design is by Yūki Moriyama, while Masaru Yokoyama composes the soundtrack.

The project also features Kazuma Teshigahara in production design. Polygon Pictures, known for CGI works such as Blame!, is leading the animation. The team combines expertise in action and science fiction, reflecting the intense tone of the original work.

History of Tank Chair
The story follows Shizuka, who accepts dangerous missions while caring for her brother Nagi, an assassin in a coma after protecting her. To reverse Nagi's condition, Shizuka discovers that he reacts to murderous intentions. Thus, she puts him in constant confrontations against lethal enemies. The narrative mixes violence, family ties, and an unusual journey of recovery amidst extreme combat.
Tank Chair is an action manga created by Manabu Yashiro and published by Kodansha since 2022. With nine volumes published as of September 2025, the series is also distributed digitally through the K Manga service. Therefore, the adaptation expands the work's reach to new audiences.
