We have revealed that the new anime The Detective is Already Dead will have 12 episodes. According to the official website , the series will premiere on July 7th in Japan, produced by Studio ENGI.
Therefore, the anime is directed by Manabu Kurihara ( Uzaki-chan wa Asobitai! ).

Synopsis
The story follows Kimihiko Kimitsuka, a young man who four years ago became the assistant of a mysterious detective known as "Siesta" during a plane hijacking. Together, Kimihiko and Siesta embarked on mind-boggling adventures and explored the world while battling a secret organization, but all of that ended when Siesta died.
Finally, the light novel series The Detective is Already Dead began in November 2019.
