Chiyu Mahō no Machigatta: Anime gets a new trailer and release date

The production team for the anime The Wrong Way to Use Healing Magic (Chiyu Mahō no Machigatta Tsukai-kata: Senjō o Kakeru Kaifuku Yōin) announced its premiere for January 5th through a second promotional video.

In addition, new promotional artwork and information about the theme songs were revealed.

The band waterweed performs the opening theme song “Cure,” while ChouCho performs the ending theme song “Green Jade.” The video above offers a preview of both songs. Additionally, the team revealed more cast members:

  • Reina Ueda as Princess Celia
  • Shōhei Komatsu as Aruku
  • Hitomi Ueda as Amila
  • Wataru Hatano as Hyriluk

Synopsis

The story follows Ken Usato, an ordinary young man who befriends the student council president and vice-president. Suddenly, his new friends are summoned to another world, and he ends up there by accident. There, he discovers his affinity for the extremely rare healing magic, which unfortunately makes him the center of attention.

Kurokata launched the light novel on the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website in March 2014, and the MF Books imprint published the 12th print volume with illustrations by KeG in March 2020. Additionally, Reki Kyūgazan is adapting the story into a manga.
