The staff behind the anime Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown announced details about the ending theme song and revealed the new season will premiere on January 7th .
Tuyu , a musical unit formed by composer and guitarist Pusu , vocalist Rei , and pianist Miro , is contributing the ending theme song “Kizutsukedo, Aishiteru” (officially translated as “It may be painful, but I still love it”).
Mikako Komatsu will play Yuzuha Shiba, while Tomokazu Sugita will play Taiju Shiba.
Tokyo Revengers: Christmas Showdown will premiere in January and will air on MBS, TV Tokyo, and AT-X channels.
The first season of the anime, based on Ken Wakui's manga Tokyo Revengers, premiered in April 2021. Additionally, Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan.
Synopsis
The production tells the story of Takemichi Hanagaki, who, at 26 years old, discovers he is a time traveler. After discovering the truth behind his ex-girlfriend's death, the young man manages to return to the past about 12 years, managing to warn the girl about what would happen to her.
A live-action film premiered in Japan in July 2021 and was the number 1 live-action film in Japan in 2021. The film's sequel will be released in two parts, one in the spring and the other in the summer of 2023.
